Subject: RE: Spooky Men's Choral From: McGrath of Harlow Date: 20 Feb 07 - 08:24 AM I saw them at Broadstairs. Amazing stuff. Didn't get the impression there were many people there feeling bored, and I certainly wasn't. Here is a YouTube clip of them - only three minutes unfortunately, but it's enough to get a taste and warn off anyone who feels the same way as Skipy: Spooky Men's Choral And here is their website. Spooky... |

Subject: RE: Spooky Men's Choral From: McGrath of Harlow Date: 20 Feb 07 - 08:52 AM You're right there, Fee Lock. Not musically, but the same combination of beautifully tight group singing, bleak-blokeishnessness, and self-mockery. Only You. |

Subject: RE: Spooky Men's Choral From: Rowan Date: 20 Feb 07 - 05:18 PM Whenever I saw and listened to them in Oz "bored" was the least likely descriptor you could apply to the audiences. Great singing, great harmonies, excellent at 'taking the piss'. Cheers, Rowan |
