Is this a Fairport tribute band, or do you mean Fairport themselves?

I heard the acoustic trio of MOTL (Unledged), consisting of Ron Holmes, Marion English and Alan Maslin. They are wonderful. Alan writes some damn good songs and the evning I heard them, they really put on a great show.

Do you know what? Desite my love for the band and the song's writer, Richard Thompson, I have never been keen on this song.

Scrump asked:

Is this a Fairport tribute band, or do you mean Fairport themselves?

Dave Pegg (in an interview on folking.com) said:

'It sounds like they're a Fairport tribute band but nothing could
be further from the truth . . . very original . . . a very nice band.'

Meet On the Ledge are "on a break" at the moment but still doing the odd "unledged" gig, Ron and Al sometimes go out as a duo and they will be helping Merek and Dary celebrate the Folk clubs birthday in April.

They are never very quick at responding to emails and the addresses on the website are not up to date. They have a myspace page: myspace.com/meetontheledge
