Links (in tiny type at top of page) takes one to a number of Lyrics sites, including Glasgow Broadside Ballads (Murray Collection), but appallingly not to the fine website you link here, National Library of Scotland, or even to the great Bodleian Library of Oxford, an indispensable source.

Even more distressing is the lack of links to the American Library of Congress, American Memory, especially its large collection of sheet music and song sheets.

The National Library of Australia, Digital Collections are ignored (click on Music at that site to find sheet music, etc.). A fine collection.

Also missing are many fine USA sites including The University of Colorado sheet music collection, which is indispensible for their Western Trails Collection.

Thanks for that link Willa - there's some fine broadsides there in the Murray Collection (when you eventually find it).It used to be thought that there were few scottish broadside ballads printed because the english newspaper tax, which put newspapers beyond the reach of the poor, didnt apply in scotland,so the broadsides werent as sought after for news.Obviously not true.

Murray collection is fab and I was lucky enough to spend a whole semester studying them here at Crichton we even got to go up to main campus special collections to look at them which was just superb!!!!
Even got a copy of a parody of John Anderson my Jo which isn't on the website
