Subject: BS: Dog Fancy Magazine From: John Hardly Date: 29 Jan 07 - 04:38 PM Any subscribers here? My dog is pictured in the January issue and I haven't been able to figure out how to get a back issue. I'd be happy to buy the January issue from you if you have one available. Thanks, JH |

They sort of have one -- the Dogchannel.com is supposed to be theirs. I just found a way through that site of buying a back issue. I called and got nobody, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. My dog is an Alaskan Malamute. In fact, she's the one on the far right. She's now six years old and pregnant with our next pup. We're hoping she'll deliver in the next day or two. |

Subject: RE: BS: Dog Fancy Magazine From: Sorcha Date: 29 Jan 07 - 05:37 PM I'll ask my friend Judith tomorrow. She might know something. |

Subject: RE: BS: Dog Fancy Magazine From: katlaughing Date: 29 Jan 07 - 05:40 PM Is she in the "Snow Kings" article? You can read it by clicking on the link on THIS PAGE. OH, well, scratch that...it doesn't lead to the whole article! She's a cutie. Have you checked with your local library to see if they have a Jan. copy? |
|
Subject: RE: BS: Dog Fancy Magazine From: John Hardly Date: 29 Jan 07 - 06:25 PM Checking with the Library is a good idea. I can't buy their copy, but if all else fails, I can copy it. Here she is all grown up. (our Christmas card) |

Subject: RE: BS: Dog Fancy Magazine From: Sorcha Date: 29 Jan 07 - 07:03 PM My friend Judith says it's a common news stand item, check your local farm and ranch supply/feed store, aka Murdochs or The Mercantile. I can get one in Scottsbluff if you need me to. |

Subject: RE: BS: Dog Fancy Magazine From: John Hardly Date: 29 Jan 07 - 07:07 PM Y'know, Sorcha, that makes a lot of sense. I had dismissed the possibility because it is a back issue, but you may be on to something if the stores are more rural. They may actually have a few of the recent month's issues still around. In fact, now that I think of it, the local pet store owner is a friend and I wouldn't be surprised if she carries the magazine and has a back issue. thanks |

Subject: RE: BS: Dog Fancy Magazine From: John Hardly Date: 31 Jan 07 - 06:43 AM Thanks KT! I ordered it through the ebay link you posted. Yesterday our dog had her pup. She only had one. She promptly tried to kill it. So the pup is being nursed by an Old English Sheepdog that gladly adopted her. The pup now has six brothers and sisters and a loving mom dog. We'll be looking for a new companion for our dog. |
