We had an excellent gig last night and raised over £600 for the Breast cancer Charity. Fantastic support from everyone, thank you. Should be another nice night on Friday. I am hoping we get a few of the Faldingworth people who came last time. It was lovely to see some new faces as well as the old faithfuls. I like the new name. It is a great club, whatever it is called and we will do our best to give a performance up to the usual high standard. Can't wait! PS We may have a few special guests on a couple of songs... |

It will be Helian Keys as usual but there may be extra on 1 or 2 songs and I checked with the wonderful sound crew on Friday that they are able to cater for that. lol! Looking forward to it. It was lovely to see some of the Faldingworth crowd at our gig on Friday. Thanks to all who came. Anyone know who is coming on Friday? Would be brilliant if the Faldingworth music lovers came out in force again, like last time. |

Am I allowed to mention that we will be bringing a few copies of our Helian Keys Charity cd single...which is excellent value at only £1, over 80p of which is profit going straight to the Breast Cancer Campaign as an extra to our recent gig that so many mudcatters supported....We are trying to get that total to £700 as it is nearly there already... No, I'm not allowed....ooooppppppps!!!! :-) |

Opened with the Twanglers (Tim, Jan and Di) some lovely songs there. By contrast Steve Newton was next on with soem excellent blues numbers. Exceelnet MCing Steve. To close the first half off were Helian Keys again with some excellent songs from Ian, with lovely keyboard backing from Helen. We also had the pleasure of Jacqui and Neil joining them on some of the numbers. Andrew (I can sing anything and my guitar ain't bad either) Tiffany once agin gave us some excellent songs. Helian Keys finished the evening with an excellent set. Thank you all so much. Thankyou also to Terry & Gwenda Cater for once again showing how good they are with the PA. |

He he you are too kind Les but We will keep trying and one day may play a whole set without buggering something up LOL. I thought the audience were great joining in with shakers and helping out on the singing. I know we cheated by handing word sheets out but when you bring a full set of new songs you either do that or no one knows the words.(especially me). We had a market raisen folk club song to do but our twenty minutes were up so didnt get chance . Also seeing as you changed the name of the club about six hour sfter I wrote it I suppose it would have lost its appeal. We were the first to play at Faldingworth LIve and got to support our good friends Helian Keys. So all in all was a good night. Keep up the good work mate. |
