Subject: RE: d'Aigle Autoharps? From: DADGBE Date: 19 Jan 07 - 04:03 PM Hi Susan, I have played many of Pete D'aigle's harps and they are all beautifully built, fine sounding instruments. Pete is very knowledgable about the Autoharp and is willing to share his knowledge and experience. I would have no qualms about doing business with him. Hope that helps. Best regards, Ray |

Subject: RE: d'Aigle Autoharps? From: wysiwyg Date: 19 Jan 07 - 05:18 PM Yes, Ray, it does help. Although I would LOVE to get one of their harps, what I need from them first is new bars for an old harp, and set-up assistance for same. Do you happen to have the new bars their website is talking about? Have they made those for awhile or is it a really new approach? Thanks, ~Susan |

Subject: RE: d'Aigle Autoharps? From: DADGBE Date: 19 Jan 07 - 08:26 PM Hi Susan, Pete uses a unique spring design and his bars are fast and accurate. He often re-bars older 'harps for folks and I'm told that it makes a big difference. Bob Lewis, as GUEST points out, also does great re-bar work. Either one can help you in fine style both with new bars and with accurate set-ups. |

Subject: RE: d'Aigle Autoharps? From: wysiwyg Date: 19 Jan 07 - 09:27 PM Thanks, I will follow up on those leads. The d'Aigles look great with the big buttons. I play hard and press hard, the style I play (tabletop, turned around for upside-down view). In church, replacing organ--so, LOUD play. ~S~ |
