Subject: The Write Note, Lincoln Central Library From: Wacko Jacko Date: 28 Nov 06 - 11:08 AM I'm running a monthly mid-week lunchtime session at Lincoln Central Library for songwriters etc. It's about trying to use the library for something different. The venue is the room on the left as you enter the building. It's all free,even the tea and coffee!Details are as follows but if your interested in playing then drop me an email at stephen.jackson8@ntlworld.com HIT " THE WRITE NOTE " @ THE LINCOLN CENTRAL LIBRARY ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 3rd Noon - 2pm THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 1st Noon - 2pm WEDNESDAY, MARCH 7th Noon - 2pm A lunch- time mid-week monthly acoustic music session for singer songwriters and musicians. An opportunity to try out something original or something traditional or contemporary on your acoustic instrument and get some feedback… Open to both performers & people who just want to sit back, relax & listen. Why not combine it with a visit to the Library? Free tea and coffee too! "THE WRITE NOTE" can accommodate around 6(8 maximum) musicians each performing 15/20 minute sets. Richard Langridge,Blues Connection,Steve Jackson,Karl Svarc,Big John Pape and Bob Cairns are all booked in to play .All playing for 20 minutes each So you get singer songwriters, acoustic blues, folk,instrumentalists and free admission/tea/coffee! Coffee/tea available, runs from noon-2pm at Lincoln Central Library.Next two sessions are 1st Feb and 7th March. Respond to this message and I'll include you if you'd like to play. It's an all acoustic session and you'll get either 20 minutes or two 10 minute slots. |
