Will be spending a lot of time in Scarborough. Any sessions / music pubs / details of the folk club? Don't know Scarborough well yet but have a map and will be based on South Cliff.

There used to be good gigs at the Scholars Bar but I can't remember the address of it.

from what I have heard Scholars no longer does folk, Mondays is still on, more a session, there is also a singaround on Thursday nights at the Forge Valley Inn, West Ayton and a once a month at The Anvil, Brompton by Sawdon, i am not sure if the later is still on. Of course York is only a hours drive and there are sessions and formal folk club, five nights a week.

We're not exactly leaving Beverley, just feet in several places for work purposes.

Thanks for the information about Scarborough, will certainly look in.

There is a bit of music most nights in the "Merchants" it is a bit of an Irish theme pub, summatt like the "Durty Nellies" I have played it a coupla times and "Emerald Green" - Jock and Jonty from Whitby - are still doing a bit there I believe.I think they did try and get a session going but that was a while ago.

If you are near the "Sun" in Bev this aft. why not look in on us?
