I didn't get a week-end ticket for this year's Cambridge Folk Festival, although I have 3 day tickets, but they don't do tickets for Thursday night.

That leaves me a bit of a loose end because I'd already booked a flight for Thursday morning. So does anyhone know where I'm likely to find a session in Cambridge next Thursday night? (other than on the campsite at Cherry Hinton Hall). My preference would be mainly an Irish session but I'm not hung up on that, anything vaguely folkie would be acceptable.

Refresh.

Any Mudcatters in the Cambridge area who could point me at a session please?

I tried posting last night, but Mudcat went down before I could finish.

There's a session at Fulbourn social club on Thursdays, but I can't remember if it's every week, every other week or once a month. That's less than 10 minutes drive from Cherry Hinton. There's also sessions at Ramsay and Sutton, but they're a significant distance out so you'd have to be in desperate need of a session. I'll ask about that Fulbourn session - I keep meaning to get out there, but never seem to get round to it, so if it's on then I'll try and get over there too.

Alternatively there's a fair amount of live music around Cambridge. Your best bet then is probably just to buy a copy of the Cambridge Evening News when you get there and see who's playing where.

Graham.

Graham,

Thanks for the information. I'll see if I can get any more details about the Fulbourn Session. If you come up with any more information please let me know.

Otherwise the newspaper is a good suggestion.

Thanks again,

Declan
