Subject: RE: St Albans England July 16 From: breezy Date: 12 Jul 06 - 02:56 PM Thanks Alison, so glad you know more than anyone else how sales are going for Harvey Andrews, seeing as you havent a clue how do you come to such assumptions. There are still some seats still available to meet and hear one of the biggest influences on English Folk song - apart from George Papavgeris and more recently Chris Flegg. The Windward Club now into its 6th year is at the Comfort Hotel, Holywell Hill, St Albans non-smoking-walking-talking the only real folk club in St Albans Doors open 7.09 song off at 7.45-50 ends about 11.15 later if the mood is mellow |

Subject: RE: St Albans England July 16 From: GUEST Date: 12 Jul 06 - 04:40 PM She threw a left. He countered with a right. Seconds out. Second round! But who they hell is organising this fight? Surely two such events on the same night in a small town is silly? |

Subject: RE: St Albans England July 16 From: breezy Date: 16 Jul 06 - 07:20 AM hello Tom Sorry you got caught up in this , hope you have a good evening anyway just make sure you keep everyone in front of you and that you are not obstructed from the audiences view by the wooden pillars A PA was used by some performers recently to counter the noise from the bar so making sure the vocals were heard. not a problem with instruments Why not pop up to the Comfort before and then you will see for yourself, our doors open at 7, but I'll be ther from 5.30 setting and will probably still going well after 11.00 as Harvey is now staying at the venue all the best anyway John Breeze org of the only real F C in snorbens |

Subject: RE: St Albans England July 16 From: Leraud Date: 17 Jul 06 - 08:54 AM Tom Oakes was excellent. It was great to hear him sing and play guitar as well hearing his fantastic performance on the flute. There was no noise from the bar, so a very good evening all round. I trust and hope that a similarly enjoyable evening was had by all at the Comfort Hotel. No doubt it was a succes if Harvey Andrews was playing. Love and Peace to all Mankind Lynne Heraud |
