In a few hours here I'll be boarding a plane to fly to the east coast (of the US), Newark to be precise, whence I'll take Greyhound to Boston for a couple days' visit with a nephew and a cameo at the Hymn Society offices; also to worship at First Baptist of Malden, where my dad did a pastoral internship around 1947 while picking up an S.T.M. degree. Then on to the School for International Training in Brattleboro, Vermont, for three weeks, where I will assist the instructors of the North American Summer Esperanto Institute (July 3-21). My main duties will involve planning and realizing the evening and weekend cultural-enrichment programs and excursions, and editing the Institute's daily "newspaper", La NASKa Fasko (last year's edition). Any Mudcatters, song circles or whatever around the Brattleboro area? Then down to New York for the national Esperanto convention July 21-24, then July 25-27 in New Haven, CT, trying to cathect the memories and feelings of my time at Yale (1972-74; drank my way out in the Spring of '73), before heading back to Seattle.

PM or email me if you're in the area and would like to get together to sing Esperanto folksongs or whatever.

they might have been planning to bicycle in that

Type slower and proof-read so we can figure out where you are in your travels!

Oops, sorry, Brattleboro (VT).

This evening I put out the first issue of the newspaper I will produce daily for the next two-and-a-half weeks, and then oversaw the Get-acquainted Soirée. This computer has a cattywaumpus "ergonomic" keyboard that just about makes it impossible for me to type without watching my fingers. Highly annoying, though perhaps good for my carpal tunnel...

Tomorrow's issue of La NASKa Fasko will have three songs in it, it being the Fourth: The Star-Spangled Banner, Bennington Rifles, and Annexation — all in Esperanto, of course.
