I certainly have fed them with all the others on the list, but never mice. I have fed mice, rats, chicks & rabbits to snakes but never mice to frogs, well you live & learn. Skipy |

The toads that live around the back door are in hog heaven, so to speak! Some of them are about the size of a billiard ball, and they are very fast at catching those bugs. If a very small mouse came their way I can imagine one of them eating it. SRS |

I'd love a frog or a toad... we seem to be on a mating trail for half the snails in London and I would really appreciate a friendly amphibian who would munch his way through some of them. We have a frog friendly pond (nice deep bit, a shallow end, plants and rocks to sit on....) but so far we are frogless. I have seen a frog eat baby mice (pinkies), when it stumbled across their nest, but got the feeling it would probably have prefered a nice juicy snail. LTS |

Quite probably all of them did "own" numerous slugs, as that seems unavoidable there. Frogs and toads are hard to train to the leash, so it's a demanding job taking them out for their exercise. Ducks are less difficult in that respect - more comparable to leashing and walking your cat. John |
