Subject: BS: Concern for Joe Offer's Mental Health From: catspaw49 Date: 11 Jun 06 - 06:37 PM I have noticed a difference in Joe lately and whether its a seasonal thing or perhaps something specific affecting his life. it bothers me that there is indeed a change. Joe has often enjoyed the fun around here but has rarely instigated it himself or said anything untoward in any way. Shambles pushed him to the limit I know but even then he maintained restraint in my opinion. Now it seems that he is behaving in a manner that is totally out of character for him. I have noticed this in several of his posts but today I ran across the following: ********************************************************************** Subject: RE: BS: McDonald's or Burger King From: Joe Offer - PM Date: 11 Jun 06 - 10:12 AM test message --- help me a goat is eating my genitals ********************************************************************** I don't know what has brought this on but I want Joe to know I support him in whatever it is he is trying to do. Maybe he's just going for a little "looser" image or something. I can get with that certainly................But Joe, and I am serious here, if you're having some other issues let us help out. We're all with you Joe. Spaw |

Subject: RE: BS: Concern for Joe Offer's Mental Health From: The Shambles Date: 11 Jun 06 - 06:45 PM Speculating on the mental health of any fellow poster is perhaps not something our forum is best suited for. Most of us would not generally consider speculating on a fellow poster's physical health to be a matter for humour - perhaps we should consider metal health in the same way? |
|
Subject: RE: BS: Concern for Joe Offer's Mental Health From: Little Hawk Date: 11 Jun 06 - 06:57 PM Perhaps so. I have frankly been concered for the mental health of at least half the members of this forum for some time, myself included, and that's about all I have to say about it. |

Subject: RE: BS: Concern for Joe Offer's Mental Health From: wysiwyg Date: 11 Jun 06 - 07:17 PM It's a clear effort to proselytize AND to say the sky is falling (duh, RAPTURE portents), because why ELSE would a goat eat a Gentile? Subject: RE: BS: Concern for Joe Offer's Mental Health From: Don Firth Date: 11 Jun 06 - 07:20 PM I recall an incident in which a couple of ungrateful and greedy siblings tried to have their aging mother locked away in an asylum so they could take over her property. The matter came to court. The children's attorney pointed to the fact that the mother seemed to be emotionally disturbed. The mother's attorney countered by saying, "Her children are trying to lock her away in an asylum and rob her. Of course she's emotionally disturbed! Wouldn't you be!??" The judge ruled in the woman's favor and the kids were sent packing. Now, by the same token, if a goat is eating Joe's genitals, it's not all that surprising that he might be a bit upset. Don Firth |

Subject: RE: BS: Concern for Joe Offer's Mental Health From: Bee-dubya-ell Date: 11 Jun 06 - 07:35 PM There's a very simple explanation. You see, within the Royal Court of King khandu of Mississippi, Joe Offer holds the rank of First Duck of Pelahatchee. Pelahatchee, Mississippi is not a very exciting place with the exception of one evening in August when it plays host to the infamous Pelahatchee Goat Now, one of the responsibilities of the First Duck of Pelahatchee (in fact, damned near his only responsibility) is to emcee the Pelahatchee Goat Bee-dubya-ell Official Poet Lariat - Court of King khandu of Mississippi Knower of Things - Court of King khandu of Mississippi Knower of Pigshit - Court of King khandu of Mississippi Official Holder of The Sanctimonious Pipe |

Subject: RE: BS: Concern for Joe Offer's Mental Health From: GUEST,Roberta Date: 16 Jun 06 - 08:21 AM There is a singer everyone has heard, Loud, a Mudcatter and a cat-like bird, Who makes the solid trumpets sound again. He says that blasts are old and that for foul airs Mid-summer is to spring as one to ten. 'Spaw says the early thunderfall is past When blasts did clear the room in mighty showers On sunny threads a moment overblast; And comes that other ball we name the fall. He says the Mudcat dust is over all. The bird would cease and be as other goats But that he knows in bleating not to sing. The question that he frames in all but bleats Is what to make of a diminished feat. I pause, for paws, and spy a little Joey Offer running by... Roberta F. |

Subject: RE: BS: Concern for Joe Offer's Mental Health From: Amos Date: 16 Jun 06 - 12:07 PM So many claim that Joe has feet of clay; But Cats, when given paws, still want their say! So Joeys too, obeying Nature's laws, Will blow their little horns as loud as Spaw's. The putting on of airs, like youth, still passes, And feet of clay will serve for understanding When standing up against such virulent gasses.
