Subject: The Easy by moonlight From: Kara Date: 09 Jun 06 - 10:59 AM Hi This Sunday it's the full moon here in Brittany and for the first time this year we are having some beautiful weather (unless you count snow as beautiful but here is we count it as strange) We are planning an evening of music, fine wine, real beer and scrummy food at the Horse club in Tréhorenteuc 56. The band for this the first of 3 fullmoon extravaganzas (one a month all summer) is THE EASY and you can sample some of thier tunes by clicking on the name. After the apero concert you can hire a horse and ride off into the mystical Brocéliande forest to watch the sunset and moon rise which promises to be most spectacular. The trek takes about two hours and on your return the party goes on. The apero gig is free and for those brave indians who go on the trek it is 32 euros. If you can't make it this month but would like details of next months fullmoon outing click here |
Subject: RE: The Easy by moonlight From: Kara Date: 13 Jun 06 - 03:30 PM Well that was very nice. The weather which has been really boiling up over the past few days stayed dry all evening. It was cloudy for a lot of the time but the clouds cleared for a few minutes so the trekers (that is the people who went on the horse trek up to the top of the Broceliand Forest not fans of Star trek) and the more serious drinkers (those who stayed at the pony club) got to see the fullmoon rising, and very beautiful it was too. THE EASY played their soothing mixture of jazz chanson, blues latino swing and celtic soul to the gentle chatter and clicking of glasses and generally a good time was had by all. If you didn't make it try to get to the next one on the 11th of July when we will be entertained by New Orleans finest in the form of RAMSEY and VANN click here for details of this and other event in Brittany this summer. |
Subject: RE: The Easy by moonlight From: Paul Burke Date: 14 Jun 06 - 04:00 AM Last time I was at Broceliande, the combination of woods and ponds engendered so many midges I was lucky to emerge with any flesh left on my bones. So anyone taking up this invitation (it's a beautiful place otherwise) should invest in a 25 litre drum of DEET, and marinade themselves in it first. |
