Anyone hanging around with nothing to do? Or fancying a trip out west? The Boat Band is having a little session on Friday night(June 9): at Fitzpatrick's, Kilcrohane (Sheep's Head peninsula). Anyone care to join us?Any kind of music goes.
Saturday night we're playing a gig(private function) at Ahakista, then up for a bit of fun on Sunday if anybody knows of anything particularly interesting, anywhere between the west coast and Cork.

Greg , the Cobh Maritime Song Weekend is on in, naturally enough, Cobh. It's usually a good craic with concerts and pub sessions . I'll be there , health permitting , and I'll keep a weather eye out for ye.

Mariner: good to hear from you. How long do things carry on in Cobh? I have to drive back from Ahakista to Cork on Sunday to drop someone off at the airport...the rest of us might just come on to Cobh.

Details are HERE . Plenty of activity on the Sunday. Unfortunately, I'll be gone by then! Planning to be there Friday afternoon to Sunday morning.

Regards

Thanks for the info. In terms of itinerary, we have to be back in Cork Sunday afternoon, and are going back to Wales from Rosslare on Monday or Tuesday. So west Cork is where to join us on Friday, for fun and frolics, but east Cork or Waterford would be where we might be looking for a a bit of a session or whatever, Sunday or Monday. Cobh is geographically right.
