Bob Eastwick of the Oakengates free Folk Day heard a shopper's greengrocer's, aunt's dog had read a newspaper article about a cut-down festival at the same time as the new Shrewsbury Festival (Bridgnorth as was)

Anyone else hear from a more reeliable source? Horses mouth maybe?

According to my sister who lives in Bridgnorth and works at Oldbury Wells, there is to be a 'childrens festival' in the school grounds that weekend - her neighbour is one of the organisers. Hope the neighbours enjoy it...

It seems unlikely that this has anything at all to do with the folk festival. The organisers of Bridgnorth FF (as was) are now organising Shrewsbury instead.

Looking forward to Shrewsbury!
