Subject: RE: Singaround Barton, Beds UK 21st April From: GUEST,Ross Date: 16 Apr 03 - 03:57 PM Very good Sorry I can't be with you tonight in Croxley Green This week has left me with 3 working wheels on my car & manic depression Better start writing another song |
Subject: RE: Singaround Barton, Beds UK 21st April From: Piers Date: 17 Apr 03 - 03:34 AM Sorry about your song Ross, I feel bad about using your super song to my own ends or maybe that's the folk process, it was a work of pure guiness. Having three wheels on your car and manic depresion does sound like an excellent song subject. |
Subject: RE: Singaround Barton, Beds UK 21st April From: GUEST,Ross Date: 17 Apr 03 - 11:58 AM Well done Piers A brilliant song - is it in the mode of trad blues ie I,IV,V notation? Don't think it needs water main or identity crisis in it Carry on the good works & enjoy the wedding We will soldier on Did you know that Tony Blair brought his eyebrows from a shop in Harpenden? |

Subject: RE: Singaround Barton, Beds UK 21st April From: Mary Humphreys Date: 17 Apr 03 - 12:42 PM Help somebody! Confusion reigns. Who is Piers marrying? And why is it not his wedding? I think we should be told........ |
Subject: RE: Singaround Barton, Beds UK 21st April From: Piers Date: 17 Apr 03 - 02:42 PM Sorry Mary, a bit of confusion on my part, I'm not getting married at all, just going to a wedding of some people I've only met a couple of times. If it weren't for the free booze, I'd much rather be singing in Barton le Clay on Monday night, but those of us who share a Mudcat horizontal folk award for drinking must keep our hand in, at the noble art of good humoured debauchery. My co-awardee, Hil, will be getting lots of practice at the Miskin festival this weekend. Ross - I didn't know that about Blair's eyebrows, but I could show you where Eric Morecombe got his tobacco. Cheers Piers |
