Used book sale time again. This one is a minimum bid of $10.00. This is a thick hardback, "A Treasury of Western Folklore", edited by B.A. Botkin. Published by Bonanza in 1980. This is a
great book filled with tall tales, anecdotes, yarns, humor, local legends, folklore & more. Bid deadline is 2PM Mountain Time, April 12.

If interested, post bids in this thread and I will do the bidding at the library for the winner. I'll pay shipping in US.

This is a great book, but it's pretty common. Click here for a Bookfinder search that will give you a gerneral idea of appropriate prices.

I found one of these back in December and finally finished reading it just a few weeks ago. The most of the stories are absolutely wonderful. Many are unlikely to be found anywhere else (without studious digging). There's a nice collection of songs in it, too - some interesting ones of which I have not seen mention before.

If you like this book, it's part of a series, all edited by Benjamin Botkin including:

A Treasury of American Folklore
A Treasury of American Anecdotes
A Treasury of Mississippi Folklore
A Treasury of Western Folklore
A Treasury of Southern Folklore
A Treasury of New England Folklore
A Treasry of Railroad Folklore
Sidewalks of America

They can be readily found in used book stores and sometimes on the bargain tables of new book stores.

So, no takers on a bid, huh? If not, I'll bid on it for myself.
