Many of you told me that you followed my thread "HEADING INTO THE STUDIO" - a thread which turned into a journal about the process of making a first CD. I'm so very happy to let you know that my CD for children (and their grownups), UP AND OVER THE MOON!, is all finished!! For those who didn't follow the thread, I'll mention that UP AND OVER THE MOON! is co-produced by Ken Whiteley and Kathy-Reid Naiman for Merriweather Records. I sing and play Celtic harp, dulcimer and piano, and some fantastic musicians played with me, including 'catters Arnie Naiman on banjo, and Jeff Morrison on guitar. (others musicians: Ken Whiteley, Kirk Elliott, Ben Grossman, Eve Goldberg, Kathy Reid-Naiman, and Ernie Tollar). Ken did the arrangments and they are amazing...(I asked for lots of slide and dobro and he delivered)! Thanks to my dear friend and webmaster Jack Cole for his skill and enthusiasm. Thank you to each and every mudcatter who cheered me on....

I hope you enjoy looking around my website...it's colourful and fun and even has a secret link to a very funny page about the CD cover - something written by an amateur astronomer friend of mine!

This is it:www.debbiecarroll.com!!!!!

I'm not sure why the blue clickie doesn't work for me...I thought I followed all 'the rules'! Anyway, if you need to type it in with your own 2 fingers, it's www.debbiecarroll.com.

Thanks, MMario. I'll get right on it, after a few more nights' sleep and a few more mocha javas....!!!!

Congratulations Debbie! I know from experience that Ken Whiteley is the ultimate master of production of children's recordings - so your new CD is right in there in good company! I had a fun day in the studio myself doing my little banjo bit. Nice music and a really good project all around - so I wish you the best of luck. I just had a look at your website - wow did you do that yourself?

Thanks guys!   Did I do the website all by myself, Arnie? I don't think so!! My friend Jack Cole and I worked on it together. Jack's the webman - my favourite things on the website are the bunny/moon buttons, and the secret page. Kat....I love Far in the Wood because it tells a story. It's a beautiful work, but I've never been able to find an author for the text. Rick....I'm so much looking forward to showing my face on radio!

Mazel Tov Debbie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am very happy for you.
Your website looks great. I listen to some of the tunes - made me want to pull out the skipping rope.
I hope Santa delivers lots of your CDs this Christmas.
And may there be plenty gift wrapped under the Hanukkah Bush.
It is a great accomplishment and you have some marvelous musicians working with you.
All the best,
Bonnie

thank you guys. i think that in my enthusiasm about the whole thing i used way too many capital letters in my announcment. and i repeated the title of the recording so many times. and those things can turn a reader off.

the making of the cd, with its great producers and musicians, and the website, were two real gifts to me. i might have sounded like i was insufferably proud of what i personally had accomplished, but believe me, it was more like taking a bath in pure mocha java, and jumping up and down from the caffeine.

so great to hear your voice, bonnie. and the others too. but bonnie used to live hear and she moved away so that's why i'm centering out bonnie.
