World prices will remain 'stable', but Iraq will be forced to virtually give away their oil 4) Any cash realized from oil sales will be turned over the the U.N./World Bank 5) Iraq will then be able to 'borrow' from their 'trust fund' at 40% interest only if 6) The money is used for U.N. humanitarian programs like sterilization of Iraqis and communist indoctrination of children in the school system The world is being offered a choice of tyrannies. The 'liberal' U.N. tyranny, or the 'conservative' U.S. tyranny. We're all accustomed to viewing politics as rivalries, but those rivalries are phony. Conserv and Lib have postured us to this point in history...where we are being told world govt is a reality, just choose your flavor. |

Makes it just clearer that all the rationalizations for having this war are nothing but that: rationalizations. Now I don't do blue clicky stuff but a Goggle search of the following ultra right wing militaristic associations will produce one common denominator: Richard Perle! He seems to think that we are the only country whose opinion matters. The reason the UN hasn't succeeded is exactly that attitude, but he justifies his attitude with the faliure of the UN. Good old circular reasoning. P.S. Did it bother anyone else that he called Ethiopia "Abyssinia?" It seems kind of insulting that he doesn't even remember the country's official name. |

The report of a "think-tank" published in July 1997. I am absolutely convinced if the output from all the "think-tanks" of all the governments, NGO's, Aid Agencies, Universities, et al, of all the nations on this earth, were published there would be enough information, speculation and improvisation to make even the Dreaded Guest seem rational. It was, and remains to this day, purely a theoretical appraisal carried out by private citizens - it was published, therefore could not be considered the blue-print for a mega-conspiracy ( Oh sorry, that was the clever bit about it) - Now, in 1923 Adolf Hitler wrote "Mein Kampf" while in prison, it was a clearly stated plan of intent, from a very obscure fringe political party led by a complete non-entity - There is absolutely no way that the two could ever be compared, to the extent that some seem to do in this forum. Forum - regarding your P.S. above - no it didn't bother me, and it apparently didn't bother Mussolini at the time either. Memo from Mussolini to General Badoglio (In December 1934, after the Wal Wal incident) "I decide on this war, the object of which is nothing more or less than the complete destruction of the Abyssinian army and the total conquest of Abyssinia". So Mr Perle was correct in referring to Mussolini's invasion of Abyssinia. |
