Subject: RE: Cranky Yankee replies to slaneder From: CRANKY YANKEE Date: 06 Mar 03 - 12:17 AM O. K. Kat, Remember th First Ammendment? It's one of my most cherished posessions, and, no where in it does it specify what and how. Check some of my previous threads and the answers to them ( which I accepted when they made sense. Sometimes I think that I'm the reason why there are more "horses Asses" than there are horses. Love from Donna and me. |

Subject: RE: Cranky Yankee replies to slaneder From: GUEST,old picker Date: 06 Mar 03 - 11:45 AM Darn it Crankee, you could be such an asset to Mudcat with all your experience but this has happened several times before, and once again you've been called on it. Time and time again you've made statements that have been rightly challenged by others, and you get very arrogant when the inaccuracies are pointed out. kat is generous to a fault and has done a thousand favors here, so when she posts information that implies something quite different than the reality, it reflects on her. The website called 'The Rockabilly Hall of Fame' is available to anyone who has the fee and wants to be 'inducted'. At the top of the page they even say they encourage relatives to sponsor new members. Sorry, but I'd rather just hear your stories without the 'extras'. |

Subject: RE: Cranky Yankee replies to slander From: Nigel Parsons Date: 07 Mar 03 - 01:03 PM "Slander" is spoken or transitory! i.e. if it is spoken in a transmitted or recorded medium then it is treated as having been broadcast, and can thus come under the category of libel. (which is treated as the harsher of the two terms) Nigel |

Subject: RE: Cranky Yankee replies to slander From: Pseudolus Date: 07 Mar 03 - 02:20 PM I understand that but who cares, if someone wants to do that fine, if someone else is not impressed with the "honor" that's fine too. Saying that you're not impressed by induction in to the organization is anything BUT slander, it's simply an opinion..... Frank |
