The Blue Anchor in Fishpool Street, St Michael's Village in St Albans is the place to enjoy a Saturday evening with loads of chorus songs led by Windward, the St Albans based folk duo.
The next 'session' will be this Sat 8th March
It is possible to get a floor spot as long as you're there early enough.8.00 p.m. although we start around 8.30
And you sing a song with a chorus cos we dont want long sallads on a sat night, we want a good sing please.
Eclectic, we do the trad stuff.
Minimal sound re-inforcement is available.
Come early and take the friend out for a meal, very good value.
On the 3rd Tuesday 18th March we will gather for a 'chorus workshop'
We must finish by 11.30, cos Paul wants to go to bed, he's one of the most supportive of landlords I've ever met.
75p for a pint of orange squash.
Sat 5th April will be the next one
Folk Club every Friday at the Comfort Hotel, when in season!
PM 4 further details if you like.

...which itself is not anywhere near the 'Seven Stars' Public House, Knowl Hill, A4 between Maidenhead & Reading, where the aforementioned DOG DAYS X charity festival is taking place, with Mick Ryan & Pete Harris, Les Sullivan, Dick Frost, Bill McKinnon & Friends, 'Port & Brandy' - why, even St Albans has contributed its "own" George Papavgeris to the event; or was it a ruse to get rid of him?
