Subject: BS: Seasons Greetings to my new friends From: jimmyt Date: 26 Dec 02 - 01:05 PM I have been listening to my Mudcat CD set and playing along on the new Tony Dixon Whistles that Leadfingers recommended to me, and it occured to me that before August of this year, I knew nothing of Mudcat, and almost nothing about folk and traditional music. I reread my early posts, and it is a wonder you put up with me at all, let alone many of you becoming my friends. This is a great forum for people of different backgrounds in music, religion, politics and nationalities to share with others and search for common ground. Sure, sometimes it seems that folks are trying to make their point and in the process alienate people of different opinions, but by and large, the spirit of Mudcat is fantastic. I wanted to share my appreciation to the folks that make it possible, the folks whom I have met here and become friends with, and the folks that have different views in that we have the option here of listening to others. Hope everyone has a happy holiday season Jimmyt |

Subject: RE: BS: Seasons Greetings to my new friends From: Jerry Rasmussen Date: 26 Dec 02 - 01:13 PM And back atcha, jimmy! When I give thanks for the year of 2002, Mudcat will be high on my list, as will many Catters who have become friends, like you. I'll remember this as the year of KhanduBobertTweedLeadfingersbbcSorchaArtBrooks, you and many more, Jimmy. May we all find a little more peace and a little less acrimony in the coming year! Jerryr |
