Subject: RE: BS: hand of glory From: Nigel Parsons Date: 24 Dec 02 - 04:22 AM For a good horror tale featuring the "Hand of Glory" read Mike Jeffries' "Shadows in the Watchgate". Basically (in that tale) it is given as the mummified hand of a hanged murderer, the lighting of a finger of which gives certain powers. In general, this is used as a thieves weapon, allowing him to pass unnoticed, but in the book, its power is used for re-animation. The (evil) taxidermist starts a reign of terror by re-animating his stuffed beasts (bears, snakes, birds etc.,). However, he is unaware that he has also re-animated powers for good! Nigel |
