[ guitar ] I've been through a thousand towns mostly sleeping on the ground And the thrill of traveling this old world is gone I've been hungry and I've cold I've been troubled in my soul I'm a gonna climb the border next train home I hear Little Rock calling... Subject: RE: Lyrics req: I Hear Little Rock Calling From: GUEST,Giac, sans cookie Date: 14 Dec 02 - 05:02 PM Uh, Sorch -- I think "Orcaser line" should be "Arkansas line." At least that's the way I remember it. Mary |

Subject: RE: Lyrics req: I Hear Little Rock Calling From: GUEST, Dale Date: 14 Dec 02 - 07:36 PM Well, I'd like to be able to say sure, the ORCASER LINE, up there above Oil Trough or maybe Evening Shade, but all I could find were references to the line in the song. I'm guessing it was a mis-hear by the person who originally posted the lyrics. Dale ~~ in Arkansas, North of Little Rock, South of Mountain View, and no where near the Orcaser Line so far as I know. |

Subject: RE: Lyrics req: I Hear Little Rock Calling From: Sorcha Date: 14 Dec 02 - 11:54 PM Ok, Ok, I didn't check them. Just copy/paste. I'll try to remember to check in the future............Arkansaw line, not Or-what ever. |

Subject: RE: Lyrics req: I Hear Little Rock Calling From: GUEST Date: 15 Dec 02 - 12:01 AM I don't think that is necessary, Sorcha. When a person copys and pastes lyrics ~~ and most of us do it, we can't be expected to find any but the most obvious of errors, at least in my opinion. That is especially true when we are unfamiliar with the song to start with. |

Subject: RE: Lyrics req: I Hear Little Rock Calling From: Giac Date: 15 Dec 02 - 12:12 PM Puh-leese! I wasn't trying to start some "thing" -- just wanted to clarify, as I remember the song when it came out, and, being from Arkansas, heard it absolutely to death on local and regional radio. Giac (who's from west of Cabin Creek, east of Shady Grove, north of Spadra, and southwest of Redlick.) **Grin** By the way, if it weren't for Sorcha's diligence, many of us would languish in the wasteland of unknown lyrics. Thank you, another Mary, for your skill and perseverence!! |
