I'm down in the Aylesford/Maidstone are Monday to Wednesday next and probably for a couple of stints in the New Year.

Anyone know what's on around there?

Oh - and the guys I am working with have promised to take me to the best fish restaurant (sp?) in the world above a fish shop in Whitstable one night!

Cheers

Dave the wandering Gnome

Go to www.folkinfo.org, click on the events link, and you'll find Kent Folk

Hope that helps

Ed

Thanks, Ed. Looks like Faversham is the only one in the time I am there and that could be on the way back from Whitstable!

Mark Stanley sends his regards BTW.

Cheers

Dave

Linda, Myself and Ted Clark (Barleycorn) run a session on the fourth Thursday of each month at "The Black Horse" Stanstead (near Wrotham) about a mile and a half from Junct 2 on the M20.

"Travelling Folk" have sessions on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays at various pubs in mid to NW Kent, and "Traveller's Rest" has a session with guests at "The Rising Sun", Twitton near Sevenoaks on the 2nd Thursday. You can usually find details of these, and others in Kent, in the online Folk London Diary.

If you're interested in a little bit o' the Oirish, come along to St Mary's Social Club, Belmont Road, Gillingham on Mondays after 9pm.
Usually some pretty good sessions and everyone welcome.
Cheers
Roy Kitley

Dave,

I've met the people from Faversham on their yearly jaunt over to Ypres in Belgium and a thoroughly nice bunch they are! Ralphie was with them on that occasion and I believe also there is a Sunday trad session in Faversham. I've got a name and card at home and will PM you with contact details.

All the best

Richard

There is (or used to be) a good session in "The Bear" in Faversham on a Thursday night as well as the club at "The Chimney Boy" on Wednesdays.
