Subject: BS: Common people From: Neighmond Date: 23 Nov 02 - 10:57 PM The Bottem of the totem pole doth have a great assignment It keepeth upper levels in vertical allignment. And steadfast the foundations Upon which rest the wall which, formed of lintel, sill and post support the gamberel tall. When by fate the bottom fails as oftentimes they do The upper levels fall just as flat as though they rotted, too. The working men(and women) Compose the footings sound Upon wich all mankind relies to make the world go'round. 'Tis not the mighty Soverign that keeps us all in food Thank the farmers, the farmer's wives And all the farmers' brood. 'Tis not the haughty provost-mayor that maketh cities run But thank the lowly laborors That work till day is done. So pray, my freind, my tale attend and learn one lesson well: When the bottem layer falters The top goes All to Hell. |

Subject: RE: BS: Common people From: Little Hawk Date: 24 Nov 02 - 12:42 AM Indeed. In Cuba, that guy was Castro. It is due to him that the workers, who before 1959 had just about nothing, now have good schools, good doctors, free medicine and universities, and are not slaves to some foreign sugar company or mafia-run brothel. Here's to socialist "trickle-down" economics! :-) What profits many is better than what profits very few. - LH |

Subject: RE: BS: Common people From: Kim C Date: 25 Nov 02 - 10:41 AM After having an interesting experience in my own workplace, I have begun working on a little ditty. Here's part of it... I'm keeper of my own domain At least that's what the bosses say But when it all gets down to nuts and bolts I'm just a peon with a fancy title Fighting for my own survival In an office run by ijits, fools and dolts. It happens in a lot of working situations, that we administrative assistant people pretty much pilot the boat, and get little thanks or recognition for it. |
