Subject: Lyr/Chords Add: I'll Be Seeing You From: Genie Date: 08 Nov 02 - 10:30 AM Mudlark wanted the chords to this song (which is a great one for Veterans' Day), so here is how I play it. I'm sure my chords are simpler than the ones the big bands used, but these work for me. Notes on my notation: Also, on my screen, I have printed a down arrow in lines 1, 9, and 12, for a walkdown, but I'm not sure it will come out that way in the thread. Subject: RE: Lyr/Chords Add: I'll Be Seeing You From: Mudlark Date: 08 Nov 02 - 12:16 PM Thanks so much, Genie...I'm going to start fiddling about with it today...and with your helpful non-big band chords, can hopefully have it worked out and down pat by the time I have to present it Dec. 13. |

Subject: RE: Lyr/Chords Add: I'll Be Seeing You From: Peter T. Date: 09 Nov 02 - 12:09 PM Try "the children's carousel, the chestnut tree, the wishing well" with a D or D7 augmented instead of the "D7" and the "A9". (The original sheet music, in Eb, has a "Bb7 augmented" for the "carousel" and a "Bb9augmented" for "the wishing well".). yours, Peter T. |

Subject: RE: Lyr/Chords Add: I'll Be Seeing You From: GUEST,Dianne Date: 25 Jun 13 - 11:36 PM That's the gig for me! I'll take Sweden and simpler chords on this one. Story: My Mother was a singer in the USO during WW2 and that is when she met my father who also was a thespian and educator! Together, this was their song until his death in '03. At the funeral home, my Mother touched his hand and said, " I love you, Rob. I'll be looking at the moon and seeing you." In the movie, " The Notebook", I see a familiar reenactment of their love that fit that bill. This song is reminiscent of all of such loves! Thank you! |
