Hi Bob. I knew this would be you. How about marking some of the little things in the catalog that you might really like to have for Christmas, cause I can't buy very big without you knowing I've done it. Make it a real wish book and see if any of your wishes come true on Christmas day!!

I'd ask for the F-5 Lloyd Loar mandolin - only $95,000. I'll be good Santa - I promise.

Well, guys, if you just put your wish list in this thread, I will suggest to Santa that he keep a watch on it and check it twice Or more, perhaps. Maybe your OWN special Santa will find reasonable suggestions here and fulfill your dreams. However - I am Santa only to Bob (aka 53) and our 12 grandchildren!! Whew!!

"Elderly catalogues" - would this be the place to order one's old people from?

I can almost hear the adverts, "Have a real Christmas with your very own 'old folk'. Just $29.99 and they're yours for life (terms and conditions apply)"

I mean, if they're looking for stock there's a few 'catters could apply, surely?

What's an "elderly catalog"?

I'd do a blue clicky but it doesn't seem to work for this website: www.elderly.com

"Elderly" is, of course, Elderly Instruments in Lansing, MI.

Charley Noble, who still has friends back there.

Charlie,
"Friends" who could get you into the catalogue?

Just curious, not the dreaded "GuestTroll"

Gary D-

Getting into Elderly's catalog is primarily by quality criteria, musically related. What do you have to sell? Then, maybe I could offer some useful recommendations.

If you enter Elderly in our own search engine, you will get more hits than your browser can handle......It is a very popular store among us here. A great place to visit and wonderful catalogues, they are also fantastic folks to deal with by phone. Their pricing is awful hard to beat as well.....Just about the perfect combination for any business! Suffice it to say Elderly gets rave reviews around here.

Spaw-

Thanks for achieving the link. I'm puzzled that I couldn't "make a link" successfully.

Elderly Instruments also has a staff (sales, music teachers, shippers, and administrative) of about 30, primarily musicians who earn enough to support themselves while they continue to evolve as musicians.

There used to be an adhoc learning group called The Pretty Shakey Stringband, within which one could chase fiddle tunes to the utter dimise of one's graduate career.

Cheerily,
Charley Noble
