Subject: Mudcat Mystery! Enlighten me, please. From: DonD Date: 30 Sep 02 - 10:06 PM I am puzzled by the references under some posts to: In the Mudcat Store. Since I'm not financially in the buying market, I rarely look. But I am a member of Lions Clubs International, so when I saw a link in the store to : Lions, I had to check it out. Sure enough, it led to a CD of children's songs which included one called 'Lions'. But the post had no connection or mention of Lions or any other animals. And then there are links where there is a matching word, but no reason to assume that the song has any pertinence to the thread or comment. How does that linking work? Is there an Mudelf who scans every post for a familiar word? I hope not. Is there a program that does that? I presume so because it seems mindless to me. Does anyone check these links out as a regular practice, or even occasionally? Has anyone actually bought something because of such a link? Is the game worth the candle? |
