Go a couple of hours north and you could play at the nursing home with my dad, LeeJ!**BG**

You put your father in a nursing home?

Where is the compassion you so foundly refer too?

It is the OBLIGATION of the child to care for the parent that concieved, reared, and nutured them, within their own home and with the family.

Silly twit! You haven't been reading along much, have you? LeeJ could sit in on my dad's gig at a nursing home which gig he has every week when he drives himself there, from home. Lost track of how many times I've bragged on how he says, at 85, he still goes to "entertain the old folks." You should be so lucky.

There used to be a Bluegrass jam, I think it was every wednesday night at a pizza place at the...let's see...southeastern corner of the city. My little girl did her residency there, so I visited the area a few times.

I may be able to check it out if you're interested.

Peter.

Sorry, LeeJ. You might send Blue Sage a PM. He is often travelling to gigs, but does live near there and, if he's around, I am sure he'd Pm you back with some good info.

Leej,

Isn't it going to be kinda hard to jam underwater? But if there is music in that lake, I know you will find it and bring it to the surface. Salty Dog, and so forth. Oh!! So THAT's where that one came from! Duh!

For good luck finding that music event try throwin' some of that salt over your left shoulder....or is that your right shoulder? Well, just throw it over both to be on the safe side but remember don't turn around to view the destruction of those twin cities of yor or you'll be turned into a pillar of salt. Of course on the bright side that could make you a pillar of the community. I lost my sugar in Salt Lake City. If you find it let me know.

Try this (If my clicky works). Click on "events" at the left and scroll down to the ongoing events. The jam I mentioned before is evidently at an outdoor park in the warm months, and moves to the pizza place for the winter.

Peter.

Thanks Peter. It looks like the outdoor jam at Sugarhouse Park is still running, and is one of the venerable venues in the area for acoustic stuff. Reckon I'll pack the 6string!
