Subject: English Patient: Lullaby for Catherine From: GUEST,NPLibrarian Date: 13 Sep 02 - 01:56 PM A patron of ours is seeking an English translation of the Hungarian folksong En Csak azt Csodalom, aka "Lullaby for Catherine" used in the opening credits of *The English Patient. It is sung by Marta Sebasteyn. We've been all over the 'Net, and our own indexes and resources, with no luck. Can anybody here give us some help? Pat |

Unfortunately, the link isn't working for me; maybe it'll work for someone else. Doesn't say there whether the lyrics are in Hungarian or English, but at least it's a place to start. |

I did find that link, and it didn't work for me either! :-( At the moment, our catalog server is dead (Advanced death, they tell us) and I must wait to be able to locate our books of Hungarian folk songs.
