Well, he arrived, - all 8 pounds 4 ounces of him, just 2 minutes into last friday. He's very cute and he likes people singing to him. We've called him James.

For anyone following the 'songs to sing in labour' thread, mostly there wasn't opportunity, but after the advent of the gas and air, I did manage a partial rendition of a song from 'Blackadder' which goes,

"See the little goblin see his little feet. see his little nosey wosey Isn't the goblin sweet?"

(It's a drinking song.)

Thereafter, the suggestion of AHHHHHHHHH with a tune probably came closest, but largely because I was deprived of access to pain relief until almost the last minute.

Ah well.

Many thanks.

he does like folk - mellow songs are no good though, he'd much rather something like "Byker Hill" or "Ye Jacobites" or a nice rude sea shanty.

I shall refrain from gushing too much though. (even if I do think he's great.)
