Subject: RE: Help: Folk music in Suffolk Eng From: GUEST,Fantum Date: 14 Aug 02 - 08:16 AM Many thanks Treewind and Peter with luck we might meet. I wont be carrying a copy of Pig Breeders monthly or wearing a carnation or sporting shades but the name above might give you a clue. Thanks again |

Subject: RE: Help: Folk music in Suffolk Eng From: GUEST,Peter from Essex Date: 14 Aug 02 - 11:42 AM You should be making it earlier. the Museum of East Anglian Life were so impressed by the English Country Music Weekend last year that they have commissioned a similar event on 31 August. All day session, concerts plus an evening event. Contact Katie Howson for more details. For photos of the ECMW click here |

Subject: RE: Help: Folk music in Suffolk Eng From: smallpiper Date: 15 Aug 02 - 03:49 PM There is a session at a pub known as the Low House, the kings head. Sorry I can't remember the name of the village but its a very famous pub so tourist info should help. The session is on a Tuesday afternoon, the pub is worth a visit anyway, it may even have a website. |

Subject: RE: Help: Folk music in Suffolk Eng From: treewind Date: 15 Aug 02 - 04:34 PM Low House/King's Head, Laxfield Excellent suggestion. Music every Tuesday from lunchtime, folk to start with, then tends to chnge to C&W and blues, rock and other styles, carryng on all afternoon. It's a great pub too, with lots of small rooms and corridors, no bar and a tap room where you get your beer. ANahata |
