Alison sent me a wee email and pointed me back in the right direction. many thanks to her. It reminded me of all the wealth of kindness and knowledge out there. So here goes - Would anyone know the words, tune, or where I could get a copy of a song called - 'The land I love the best'. The opening line is - When angels with wings come to collect you. I heard it at a session one night and have been singing the first few lines in my head for weeks. Mike

I'm almost sure he did it on his first solo album. Prior to that it was recorded by Mary Greene and Noel Shine on their album of that name(the song that is). |

Could someone please confirm my suspicion and does anyone know the author/singer of this song?
