Does anyone out there have info on a festival weekend, Sept. 13-15, close to Buzzards Bay? Having switched mail servers, I've lost a bunch of old messages, including one on this festival (for which I've already purchased air tickets!). As I recall, Geordie MacIntyre is one of the invited singers... Thanks for any help!

Try calling the folks at Wood's Hole Oceanographic Institute or Mark Lovewell at the Vineyard Gazette. Tell him I said to call.

You're refering to the Folk Song Society of Greater Boston's annual geyaway weekend on 13-15 of Sept. It's being held at Camp Bournedale, Plymouth, Mass. The line up of this year's staff are: Geoff Bartly, Allison McMorland & Geordie McIntyre & Bruce Randall. For more info you can check FSSGB's web site (fssgb@fssgb.org ) or by calling their events recording at 1-617-623-1806. Can't say how what it's like or it's format, it's probably been at least 20 + yrs since I've been to one. BTW, where are you flying in from, I'm assuming you'll be flying into Logan (Boston). There is an airport in Hyannis which is about half the distance.Good luck & have a good time. Barry

Yup, that's it -- now to check with the fssgb website. I'm coming into Boston from Seattle (part of "greater Boston"?), luckily have a daughter in Boston with a second home on Cape Cod so the airport logistics will work out....

Darn, I knew I'd been away from the 'cat too long, I missed the secret password and handshake thread! Hope I can still find folks at the FSGW get-away.
