Subject: RE: Welcome new catter:my dad!! From: DonD Date: 25 Jul 02 - 06:44 PM Michael, expect the respect your obvious seniority demands! Take no crap from the whippersnappers! Now explain to me what a whippersnapper is --- and why. |

Subject: RE: Welcome new catter:my dad!! From: Mr Red Date: 25 Jul 02 - 08:24 PM welcome and may all your sunsets be red ones. |

Subject: RE: Welcome new catter:my dad!! From: Michael Date: 26 Jul 02 - 07:02 PM Gosh, coo, and all that. Thanks for all the welcomes, nearly a hundred thousand. As to musical tastes - I like most things (including folk), particularly keen on songs, and to quote Sid 'long boring ballads' in particular.I rarely inflict my singing on others (except the kids - they have to serve some purpose and they don't know any better),it doesn't seem to embarass them though. I believe seniority demands respect, tolerance, understanding, patience, awe, sympathy (sorry, got carried away there) As to whippersnappers, a whipper-in is somthing to do with hunting dogs and a snapper is a fish, so perhaps it's somthing to do with dogfish ? But it could be somthing to do with cameras and whips, no - best not to persue that one. And Red sails in the sunset, where to? |
