Subject: Bizarre guitar tip of the day From: GUEST,Marion Date: 24 Jul 02 - 12:57 PM From Bob Brozman, in an article about playing slide guitar: "The best way to describe how the vibrato motion works is by comparing it to the way you might wiggle a small dish of Jello gelatin in somebody's face to make them nervous." |

Subject: RE: Bizarre guitar tip of the day From: GUEST,Les B. Date: 24 Jul 02 - 04:45 PM I'm reminded of a buddy of mine in college - back in the 60's when chow halls were abysmal - who was thrown out at dinner time because he took his jello off the plate and was bouncing it like a basketball on the floor, just to make the point about how bad the cooking was. I can still see that orange square globet rebounding up from the floor! |

Now let's say you had a pair of 44JJ's wiggling in my face.......That might at least catch my interest and possibly be a bit frightening as well. Spaw |

Subject: RE: Bizarre guitar tip of the day From: McGrath of Harlow Date: 24 Jul 02 - 08:51 PM "the way you might wiggle a small dish of Jello gelatin in somebody's face to make them nervous" Do people do that? And does it work.

Subject: RE: Bizarre guitar tip of the day From: Kaleea Date: 25 Jul 02 - 01:38 AM Little Hawk, Jello gelatin color is not as important as what flavor it is. Red could be a few different flavors now, and red also stains carpet & upholstry more than do the other flavors, except perhaps grape. I recall that some guys in my public schools used to dribble jello as lunchtime sports activities. Followed by the ever so active vice principal who ended up with Jello on his face more than once, and I am not speaking figuratively. |
