Subject: Boston Pops/Pledge Of .Allegiance From: BH Date: 28 Jun 02 - 07:15 PM No discussion on the subject---just an announcement. A while ago I had a young lady (age 8) on my program (Traditions WFDU) who set the Pledge to music in tribute to the 9/11 tragedy. She has now been invited by the Boston Pops to perform it live on their July 4th concert. Her father (a talented orchestrator) has aranged it---and is, needless to say, proud as "punch" As to the court ruling---gee, must be bigger things to think about in this turbulent time---the Atheist's daughter (I respect his views---but just like a lawyer is making a name for himself)does not have to recite the darned thing. I sure do hope they do not take out "Richard Stands"---I hope that line is understood. Bottom line---I just wanted to puff little Laure Hochman---that is the then 8 yr old soon to be on with the Pops Bill Hahn |
