Subject: Nellie Monk - RIP From: Fiolar Date: 28 Jun 02 - 12:53 PM Thought folks might be interested to know that that the widow of the great jazz pianist and composer Thelonious Monk has died age 82. Thelonious, whose great number "Round Midnight" is one of the evergreens, ensured that Nellie will for ever be remembered when he wrote "Crepuscule With Nellie" in 1957 when she was undergoing surgery. |
