Yesterday I opened yet another of the myriad packing cases which acccompanied my repatriation, and discovered to my delight a whole consignment of tools from the wonderful firm of Garrett Wade of 5th Avenue, NY, which I had ordered before my departure from the States, but had hitherto quite forgotten about.

Anyway, the point is that among the various microfiles, sanding-sheets and chisels, there lurked a "catspaw" which they sent as a freebie, and which has proved over the space of a day or two, to be the most versatile, not to say indispensable tool in my tool kit.

I can heartily recommend the purchase of this tool to any DIY enthusiast, or woodworker of any level of skill. I only wish I had bought one years ago.

Why not check out the Catspaw for yourself ?

Murray

Looks entirely too useful to have any meaningful relationship to our own 'Spaw. On the other hand, it does appear to have a hard head and to be a bit crooked...

Well, yes, but does it need BEANO to function?

From the thread title and beginning, I thought you meant OUR own Catspaw was a useful tool...

While it does look useful, imagine if it had two heads...*bg*

So how's repat going, Murray? Had to pry open many crates, etc.? And, what's with that, BTW, repatriation? Is that like trying to rehabilitate our Spaw/Pat?*bg*

Murray, That's a great looking tool and I've sent Garrett Wade quite a lot of my money over the years as well. Still, there must be some error. Here is a picture of a real Catspaw. <g>

The parmutation is more useful YOU now than he has been to the MudCat.

Do you blow, suck or hold your nose while utilizing the instrument?

Sincerely
Gargoyle

Certainly looks more efficient than my slim screwdriver and rubber mallet technique.
