Subject: Catspaw proves extremely useful From: Murray MacLeod Date: 18 Jun 02 - 08:12 PM Yesterday I opened yet another of the myriad packing cases which acccompanied my repatriation, and discovered to my delight a whole consignment of tools from the wonderful firm of Garrett Wade of 5th Avenue, NY, which I had ordered before my departure from the States, but had hitherto quite forgotten about. Anyway, the point is that among the various microfiles, sanding-sheets and chisels, there lurked a "catspaw" which they sent as a freebie, and which has proved over the space of a day or two, to be the most versatile, not to say indispensable tool in my tool kit. I can heartily recommend the purchase of this tool to any DIY enthusiast, or woodworker of any level of skill. I only wish I had bought one years ago. Why not check out the Catspaw for yourself ? Subject: RE: BS: Catspaw proves extremely useful From: artbrooks Date: 18 Jun 02 - 08:17 PM Looks entirely too useful to have any meaningful relationship to our own 'Spaw. On the other hand, it does appear to have a hard head and to be a bit crooked... |

Subject: RE: BS: Catspaw proves extremely useful From: katlaughing Date: 18 Jun 02 - 10:55 PM While it does look useful, imagine if it had two heads...*bg* So how's repat going, Murray? Had to pry open many crates, etc.? And, what's with that, BTW, repatriation? Is that like trying to rehabilitate our Spaw/Pat?*bg* |

Subject: RE: BS: Catspaw proves extremely useful From: Mark Clark Date: 19 Jun 02 - 12:00 AM Murray, That's a great looking tool and I've sent Garrett Wade quite a lot of my money over the years as well. Still, there must be some error. Here is a picture of a real Catspaw. <g> - Mark |

Do you blow, suck or hold your nose while utilizing the instrument?
