Hootenanny Night is a monthly acoustic music party in San Francisco featuring scheduled performances and sing a longs. It happens ever second Saturday of the month at the Cafe International in the lower Haight, and it's all to promote the San Francisco Folk Music Club. Each Hoot features 7 or 8 acts that play 20 min. sets. We've had some great line-ups so far, but I'm always looking for folks who play Irish, English, pub songs, sea shanties and old timey. Any suggestions would be appreciated. These are free shows, so they don't pay, but it's a nice club and we pull a nice crowd of 60-70 people. So if you know you are going to be in the area anyway, let me know ahead of time and we'll try to get you on the schedule.

Cheers

Richard, thanks for the invite. It sounds like a nice stop. When I'm in the area again I'll stop by.

Do you ever use a capella singers?

Hi ho, I'll be out in June and I'll drag Herb J. down from Petaluma and we'll gargle a tune or two (or was that garble?)

Good luck with the hootenanny, Richard. I'll try to make one in the summer. I'm up beyond Auburn now, and that's a little far to go for an evening.
