The brother of a friend of mine died when the WTC collapsed on Sept 11. We want to hold a memorial service in Sept 2002 and would like to sing a song performed by Willie Nelson at the Tribute To Heroes Concert. Unfortunately the only thing we know about the song is who sang it. It may be America The Beautiful.

I will be grateful if anyone can recall the concert and can identify the song. Even more, if anyone can help me find the words and music.

Yes it was "America the Beatiful"

The words can be very easily found using any search engine

Thanks Guest

We have found both words and music just as you suggested. We've now got 7-8 months to learn it.

We were impressed with how quickly you responded. We're wondering where you are in the world - hopefully not the east coast of the USA where it's 5:45am. Perhaps you can give us your name so we can remember who pointed us to the music.

Phil Lester Paul Gyulavary (it was Paul's twin brother Peter who died) and Claire, my wife
