Subject: HELP: There Ain't Nobody Loves Me From: GUEST,Whitewater Date: 20 Jan 02 - 10:46 PM And contrary to what I'm sure this thread *looks* like on the surface, plenty of people love me personally, however There Ain't Nobody Loves me is theoretically the name of a song, which I need some information about, and hopefully lyrics and a tune too. All we know so far is that it was apparently quite popular in England sometime between 1920 and 1940, and ws referred to in a mystery novel. If anybody could help with this I'd be very grateful indeed. (I'm not trying to get dates!) Whitewater |

Subject: RE: HELP: There Ain't Nobody Loves Me From: Sorcha Date: 21 Jan 02 - 10:02 AM Another possibility at The Lester S. Levy Collection of Sheet Music: NOBODY LOVES ME words by Harry B. Smith music by Victor Herbert, 1906. Could be this one. |
Subject: RE: HELP: There Ain't Nobody Loves Me From: Murray MacLeod Date: 21 Jan 02 - 10:19 AM If the title of the song really is "There Ain't Nobody Loves Me", it is most unlikely to have been written by a British songwriter. More likely to be an American song that gained favor (sorry, favour) in Britain. Murray |
