Subject: Love in a Tall Building? From: Mrrzy Date: 16 Jan 02 - 12:52 PM I asked this in this thread but it wasn't really the right place, so I'm asking it again. The song is by someone who, if she isn't Christine Lavin, sure sings like her. It's about a woman for whom, one day, a man holds the elevator in the tall building where they work, and then spends the rest of the verse I heard riding the elevators every spare chance she gets, in the hopes of seeing him again. There are lines like She works in the basement / behind the (something) door / and he works in Accounting / on the 37th floor, in the chorus. There are spoken parts throughout. This was such a great song I had actually put down the Lord of the Rings I was rereading, only to have the radio turn off the song when the talking part spoke of a forthcoming tragedy about working in a very tall building, hmmm, wonder why that would have been. Anyway, the other thread linked above lists a lyrics site that isn't there any longer, and I haven't found the song myself... anybody know it? |
