Someone found an article that I was looking for and asked me to send them a personal e-mail, but I can't figure out how to access that information. Sorry for the pedestrian question Thanks |

Subject: RE: Help: Not so bright From: Gary T Date: 11 Jan 02 - 03:32 PM It probably is a "Personal Message" ("PM") that was intended. It is not actually an e-mail, so the term "personal e-mail" could be confusing. I find the PM to be a great Mudcat feature. |

Subject: RE: Help: Not so bright From: Zhenya Date: 11 Jan 02 - 05:41 PM I just learned how to do this myself. Go back to the main forum page (with the list of threads.) At the top is a list of "Quick Links." Scroll down this list until you get to "Send a Personal Message". Click on this to highlight it and then click on GO. (right next to this list.) The rest of the instructions are pretty straightforward. It's my understanding this allows you to send e-mail to another Mudcatter without either of you having to disclose your acutal e-mail addresses. Hope this helps. Zhenya |

Subject: RE: Help: Not so bright From: SharonA Date: 11 Jan 02 - 05:53 PM By the way, when you receive a Private Message, you will find a notice to that effect on the Forum page, right under the DigiTrad Lyrics Search blue box in the upper left-hand corner of the page. The notice will be in a gray box and will say "You have [number] active message(s)." Click on this and it will link you to the Messages section of your Personal Page. You can also access your Personal Page to send messages or read received messages by clicking on "Personal Pages" in the menu bar at the top of every Mudcat site page (as JenEllen said!). You can use your Personal Page to create bookmarks and to trace a thread in addition to the message feature. Y'know that link just above the "Reply to Thread" section at the bottom of every thread? The one that says "Add Thread To Tracer"? Click on that and the thread will be added to your Tracer list on your Personal Page. Then if you want to find that thread again, you don't have to go searching for it; just go to your Tracer list and click on it!. Check out the Bookmarks section too; lots of good sources can be found there by clicking "View All Links"! |
