And in case I missed anything, I'm back from the (computer) dead. I wonder how long I'll be stopping. |

Subject: RE: BS: brid widder is a grandma!! From: Eels Date: 08 Jan 02 - 09:35 PM Congrats again...... Neil and Eels are hoping to there to help with that head wetting stuff on Friday and will be looking out closely for all the standard new Granny trappings ...you know the stuff: baby sick down the back, pull-along shopping trolley in tartan, carpet bag full of knitting equipment, sepia photos and that acrid smell of old urine filling the air around you..... Only kidding ....here's some useful sayings that you can start to use now. *There's no place like home...except Grandmas! *Grandkids keep hearts young. *If I had known grandchildren were this much fun, I would have had them first! *The handwriting on the wall means the grandchildren found the crayons. *They say genes skip generations. Maybe that's why grandparents find their grandchildren so likeable. *"If nothing is going well, call your grandmother." -- Italian Proverb *"Perfect love sometimes does not come until grandchildren are born." -- Welsh Proverb *It is remarkable how, overnight, a quiet mature lady can learn to sit cross-legged on the floor and play a tin drum, quack like a duck, sing all the verses of The Twelve Days Of Christmas, make paper flowers, draw pigs, and sew on the ears of severely-injured teddy bears. Enjoy, best Wishes Elisa and Neil x |
