Boston: 1849

L. MASON 8s & 7s.

Sister, thou wast mild and lovely, Gentle as the summer breeze, Pleasant as the air of evening When it floats among the trees.

Peaceful be thy silent slumber, Peaceful in the grave so low; Thou no more wilt join our number, Thou no more our songs shalt know.

?Written on the death of a young lady, a member of Mount Vernon School, Boston.?

Friday Morning, six Infantrymen in full dress Federal blue uniform will bear her remains to their final resting place, where she will recieve full Civil War Military Honors.
