Good Job Max!!!!!

The threads have dropped nearly 40%.....and NONE of them are Healing.....

This place has needed a cleansing.....BIG Time!!!!

No doubt....you will also set up a "filter" for all threads dealings with "Circles" or "Healing" or "Kats" or "Phoaks"....etc....

If not....one can only assume.....(ASS---:You------Me).....that "Healing is the direction" the "Mudcat" is to go in the future......and therefore, "dick" "susan" will need to seek out a new "Folk-Mirror"

In the village of the "damned" it is hard to determined who/which is the sickest.

sincerely,

-gargoyle

Posting to this thread as the other one won't let me post. Sorry it was needed,Max, and I'm sure you could have done without the extra work, but I for one am proud to be a "guest" at the Mudcat Cafe and would be a "member" if I used my own PC but I don't want cookies on my employers' machines, even if I only post at break times. I hope this reduces the "unpleasantness" (as long as 'Spaw and I can still trade insults across the Atlantic!)

Pounding it into the ground a bit aren't we? I think the healers got the message by now. THIS IS A MUSIC SITE. I have no idea why some of you are so strongly offended, thus offending, by these healers? Just chill a bit will ya?

I hope that doesn't mean that anyone feels that the War against the Healers was successful and a reasonable thing to do? I think it was disgusting and shameful, and totally out of place on this site or any site I want to spend time on.

And thanks to Max for making life slightly easier to avoid getting confused by the kind of people who go in for that kind of stuff in the dark.

Thank you Max for always coming up with good ideas to restore order and keep this forum on track (more or less, some would say ...:-)). - Susanne

Hi all,

A similar problem has arisen with the e-mail harplist with some people posting non-harp related stuff and other people getting upset.

The solution found was to set up a new list for the socialisers who wanted to chat about everything but who found their friendships strengthemed by their love of music and harps - therefore topics of discussion loosely related to harps.

I've been wondering whether a separate thread page - loosely related to Mudcat - could be set up where those topics could be discussed.

I realise that the last thing we want to do is put more work on Max (Saint Max!) so maybe the BS/OS-ers can find a volunteer to do the legwork to set up and maintain the site.

Onelist, which is the site through which the harp mailing list now works, offers free capabilities for e-mail mailing lists and probably on-line threads, and I saw another site just recently with this capability.

Wouldn't this take some of the heat out of this debate, folks?

At the moment I'm staying right out of it and being objective, trying to think laterally about the problem. This is one possible idea for an amicable solution.

Love, respect, admiration for Max for making it all possible, and for the Mudcatters, one & all, who make this into the best cyber community I know, or know of.

Helen
