Subject: 'Torched' Michael Hedges From: Jeremy J Woodland Date: 08 Oct 99 - 03:25 AM Hello all, I just got a copy of Michael Hedges' posthumous release, titled "torched". I strongly recomend it to any guitar lover. My question in this thread regards the tunings that he uses over the course of this album. I've found many resources that deal with his previous albums, but none that give the specific tunings for this album. Any help would be appreciated |

Subject: RE: 'Torched' Michael Hedges From: Lonesome EJ Date: 08 Oct 99 - 12:43 PM I can't help, but am truly saddened to hear of Michael's death. When did he die? He was fairly young. What a unique and creative guitar player. |

Subject: RE: 'Torched' Michael Hedges From: katlaughing Date: 08 Oct 99 - 01:14 PM LeeJ: I went searching and found an official site which listed his death in 1997. Seems as though he was really prolific. Jeremy, I also found a tunings site, but Torched, although listed, didn't have any entries, yet. Good luck, katlaughing |

Subject: RE: 'Torched' Michael Hedges From: Neil Lowe Date: 08 Oct 99 - 01:56 PM He played so adroitly that my feeble and paltry attempts to mimic that fingerstyle left me disheartened. Although, I never followed his career much past "Breakfast In The Field", I too am saddened by his death. He had a unique approach. Neil Lowe |
